I'm so happy you're here!!

I'm making a point to post on Mondays about moments I am grateful for in the past week. We can all use a little more intentional thinking about things we're grateful for. With that said, I hope you'll continue to join me in gratitude on Mondays :)

Here are a few moments from this past week that I am grateful for:

This week I'm doing things a little differently. There are a TON of moments I'm grateful for but I'm going to stick with talking about a single day.

Wednesday. June 1st.

It marked 4 years since Brent and I got married and 9 years since our first date.

Celebrating anniversaries is a challenge since we threw 2 kids in the mix fairly quickly. Sure, we could have attempted to get someone to watch the kids but we decided to celebrate as a family.

Oliver at the zoo
this face!! He's all serious here but was smiles most of the day I swear!

Coming up with plans was interesting as we're usually somewhat restricted given Oliver's naps. We decided to throw caution (and by caution, I mean sleep) out the window and head to the Toronto Zoo.

The day was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! BOTH kids napped on the way there AND slept, somewhat uncomfortably, in the stroller. They were amazingly well-behaved. I'm still somewhat baffled by how good both of them were. The ride home was a little dicey but that just meant I was deemed 'the entertainment' and got to sit in the back while Brent chauffeured us around.

We got lucky with the most perfect weather: warm and sunny with just enough of a breeze so that all the walking didn't completely overheat us.

The kids were tuckered right out so were bathed and in bed early (woohoo) so the Mr. and I got to enjoy some pad thai, wine and each other's company.

naturally had to give him a pet

The perfect day. The ONLY way it could have been better was if we had been able to go to the Blue Jays' game that night (but we weren't pushing our luck with that one). Regardless, we watched them sweep the Yankees snuggled on the couch with our vino.

I'm so grateful for this day, for this family and for this man who I couldn't imagine going through this life without.
