I'm so happy you're here!!
I'm making a point to post on Mondays about moments I am grateful for in the past week. We can all use a little more intentional thinking about things we're grateful for. With that said, I hope you'll continue to join me in gratitude on Mondays :)
See previous Monday moments of gratitude posts HERE.
Here are a few moments from this past week that I am grateful for:
my little playmates - for the first time my kids played with each other. Typically, it's mini-me getting frustrated with little man for taking her things or hanging off of her. This week, Wednesday to be exact, they started to play together. I listening as they giggled at each other and I watched in wonder as little man chased his sister as she beckoned for him to do. Oh my heart. All the day's tantrums and fights melted away in that moment.
I almost got upset with her for this, then realized he thought it was hilarious and was giggling his face off. Carry on.
oh just being all cute playing trains together. Alright, this lasted 2 minutes but still, super cute.
blog successes - I recently shared some of my blog-struggles and I know I'm not the only one experiencing them. Sometimes it's hard to keep on keeping on but all your encouragement lifted me up. THEN I got published on Blunt Moms AND have another published piece coming up on Her View from Home!!! I also guest posted about a traumatic mom-moment of mine at Grumbling Grace but received so much momma-love. Your support and these successes came just when I needed them. Sometimes the universe sends you exactly what you didn't know you needed.
talking sh!t - well, not talking crap but talking about crap. I had a surprisingly fun time writing this past week's #whatmomsgoogle. I had no idea I'd have so much to say about poop lol. Seriously though, I am loving this collaboration with my friend Abbie and I'm so thrilled that you guys seem to be enjoying it too!
furry friends - almost as sweet as seeing my littles together is watching them with our dog, Lilo. He is such a sweetheart with them. So calm and patient despite all their poking and prodding. I always keep a close eye because I'm sure the furball has to have some breaking point, but tell me my heart didn't burst into a million pieces when Lilo went up to Oliver and laid his head in his lap. Oh the feels.
I promise he's not as terrified as he looks lol he's after the dog NON-STOP
Toddler-time - yes, you read that right, I'm thankful for time with my toddler. Before you hate me let me explain. My toddler has been all kinds of frustrating lately. She doesn't want to listen and is flat-out defiant (super fun, in case you were wondering). I decided some one-on-one might help and you know what? It made me realize what a freaking awesome kid I have (even if she's an ass to me most of the time). She's so cute and smart, so much so in fact, that some random lady gave her money at the mall. Ya, that happened. In her purse, which I bought her because obviously she desperately needed a purse like mommy to put all her things in. She got her hair cut, we shared a smoothie, rode the escalator... all around good times. I think it was just what we both needed!
I'm over at the Blended Blog today sharing ways to embrace Spring and indulge yourself and I have a feeling if you take my suggestions, you might just create some moments you'll be grateful for next week!!!
