I'm so happy you're here!!
I'm making a point to post on Mondays about moments I am grateful for in the past week. We can all use a little more intentional thinking about things we're grateful for. With that said, I hope you'll continue to join me in gratitude on Mondays :)

Here are a few moments from this past week that I am grateful for:
Dance party in mini-me's room. As per mini-me's request, we had an impromptu dance party in her room. Sure, I could have been cleaning or something but honestly, she wanted to dance, even got all dressed up (dance shoes included) and really, who am I to refuse a tiara-laden ballerina?
Sometimes, you just need to slow it down and have a dance party.
My dance partner was Winnie, because, well, he's Winnie (and maybe also that he's too big for mini-me to properly dance with). He made me do all of the work but you'll be pleased to know that mini-me finds it belly-laugh worthy when I spontaneously dip him.
Music-time. This was one of the few times I resisted the urge to tell mini-me to STOP banging the pot lids together and just laughed as she danced around gleefully (note: she managed to steal her brother's socks and put them on... why? I still haven't figured that out). Before you think I'm supermom, I ended up taking the lids because my head was KILLING me after 10 minutes (keepin' it real).
Happy breakfasts. I am so overjoyed to report that my previously grumpy-bear has continued to be a happy little squish. Mealtimes are his fav (although he reverts to his grumpy ways if you're not shoveling food in his mouth fast enough) and he's all smiles when he knows it's almost time to eat (who isn't?!).
Long playdates. I've mentioned the importance of mommy friends before but seriously, the more I
commiserate spend time with my mom friends, the more I realize I likely would be a lot less sane without them. Our weekly playdate ran long this week and it was glorious. The toddlers entertained themselves (with a little refereeing on our part - 'sharing' is tough stuff apparently) and the 'babies' were both on good behavior. It's astounding how a simple playdate can feel like a total break even though you're still doing all of the things you'd normally do. Maybe it's less stressful/onerous because someone else is doing it with you.
My breastfeeding rant being supported. I kinda ranted a little about breastfeeding because some people so freely express disdain about women feeding their babies in public. Despite the frustrated nature of my rant, so many people were so supportive. That's kinda awesome and very appreciated. So, why not share a pic of me feeding the little guy. This is a big part of my life right now, that's my reality so why shouldn't I put it out there (and yes, he's LOVES statement necklaces as much, if not more, than me).
Daddy-daughter time. I wasn't directly a part of this, in fact, I was busy in the kitchen making dinner; however, it warmed my heart to see my little princess frolicking in the snow with her dad. They made snow angels, built a fort and shoveled some snow (and dog poop - yuck) off the deck. The only downside was mini-me was mad she had to come in and eat dinner. Rough life.
I worked out. Okay, I did this a couple times this past week, some workouts were enjoyed more than others but I felt awesome after EVERY single one. Wait, that's a lie, my sciatic was acting up after my Friday night workout and I thought I was going to die. I didn't. So I guess that's good. And wine.
Tummy time with smiley guy. This handsome guy is trying sooooo hard to get moving. He's rolling around all crazy and desperately trying to crawl (lord help me). He previously would LOSE his mind on his stomach and now he flips over as soon as I put him on his back. So, I get down on my tummy with him!
Google hangout with my bloggy friends! Blogging has allowed me to virtually meet some really awesome women who I consider friends despite having not met yet in person (although, that's coming in April - stay tuned). Well, Saturday night, armed with my glass (or two) of wine, I sat down at my computer and 'hungout' with my bloggy friends. It's funny how much it really felt like being in the same room with people I've known forever.
other moments worth mentioning: mini-me's dance recital, having my mom preoccupy the children so I could clean (yes, I'm grateful I could clean), making banana bread with mini-me, snuggles, wine, lots of coffee.... it was a good week.
