Dr. Segal's compression socks - review

Wednesday, March 4, 2015

During my last pregnancy I experienced some swelling in my ankles and feet. The recommendation I got was to try compression socks so I dutifully headed down to the drugstore and purchased an unsightly (and overpriced) pair of black compression socks. The options for this type of sock were extremely limited to say the least. They seemed to help with the swelling, but they weren't pretty and I did my best to keep them hidden.

Why am I telling you this?

My most recent collaboration! When the opportunity came up to review a pair of Dr. Segal’s compression socks I thought that the timing simply couldn't be better. This pregnant momma could use some new compression socks. Then I went about picking my pair and here’s where the fun begins. Unlike my previous shopping experience, I found a large assortment of colours and designs to choose from. Sure, they have the basic black BUT they also have fun animal prints, neon and argyle (to name just a few).

Here's a sneak peak at a few of the fun designs:

Now that I've had a chance to try my new fashionable socks I am happy to report I’m in LOVE! I’m not swollen yet (thank goodness) but I know they’ll come in handy a little later. Plus, they help with the tired feeling after a day with lots of walking (or sitting). I don't get the science behind it, but they really do help your legs feel more energized. The bonus is that I've found they've helped with my restless legs and let’s be honest, I just like wearing fun socks.OH AND they help your gams fit quite nicely in tall boots :)

I’m borrowing from their website to share the many other ways these fun compression socks might benefit you:

  1. These are much cuter than my medically issued ones I've been wearing non-stop post-surgery! I'm going to have to see if they come super sized for my calves...

  2. Those socks are so cute and I love the argyle ones! I have black compression sleeves that I wear after I run but maybe I should invest in these socks!

    1. I know, I was so happy they let me pick, I had a hard time deciding so I said either argyle or leopard print... so happy I got these ones!
I watched them on tv and they said you can wear them while you're running!
