what I wore - Fall style challenge #4

Wednesday, November 5, 2014

The Fall Style Challenge has come to an end and as you'll be able to see, I'm already sliding back into old habits. Apparently, I'd wear a neutral sweater every day of the week if not told otherwise (as evidenced by the picture below). At least, thanks to Alison's advice, I've added the cute leopard scarf to the mix (although, looking below, I'm thinking I may be starting to use this as a crutch too lol).

I'm still confident that the style challenges help me build a good foundation of basics as well as working in trendier pieces without feeling like I'm trying too hard or dressing outside of my age bracket.

Anyways, here's what some of the past week has looked like:

I'll need to chill on the beige sweaters next week, it could become a problem lol

Once again, linking up with some of my fellow style challengers and we have all got along sooooo well that we're starting a NEW linkup I hope you'll all join up with. See info below.

  1. All these looks are great! So funny you say that though--because I just told myself the other day that I can NOT buy another beige sweater--its becoming an addiction ha! But they are so darn cute :)

  5. I have an awful lot of neutral sweaters and cardis, too and I told myself awhile ago-- no more!! But, they are easy to layer with other colors. I really like your blue skinnies in the first photo, such a fun color and that outfit is cute, too! The white puffer vest outfit is fun, too! I would love to have a white puffer vest and I bet it is easy to style... my puffer vest is in a burgundy/raspberry color and I have a hard time styling it and don't wear it often.

  7. Beige sweaters. Seriously. I counted 14 in my closet last weekend. Apparently I have a bit of a beige sweater problem. Haha! In my defense, I have 5 kids to get up and ready for school so I'm always running late. Beige is just so easy!

  8. Hahaha, I'm the same only with black sweaters! I'm trying to infuse more colour and patterns, I really like all of your neutral ones. Cute looks as usual and love all the scarves...now scarves are my weakness I'm pretty much obsessed I don't even want to count how many I have.

  9. Nothing wrong with several neutral sweaters, I have the same problem with black cardigans! You styled all of these outfits perfectly and my favorite looks this week are the neutral sweater, leopard scarf and riding boots and the plaid top and puffer vest!

  10. Your scarves always look so natural on you. I am quite liking wearing mine, but I am always pulling at it or adjusting how I put it on, because I feel a bit awkward in it. p.s. I love a neutral sweater, too. Looking great!
