shopping plus one, not so fun

You know what I took for granted before having a baby, besides everything?... SHOPPING.
Mini-me is an abnormally happy child. Yes, she has fussy times, but I've been blessed with a super happy child. Until I attempt to shop. EVERY time I go to the mall she gets whiny and cries. It's quite possible her dad sat her down at a very young age and warned her about the dangers of mommy spending time at the mall. It's a flipping conspiracy people!

Someone needs to inform this child that her mommy is trying to get her sh!t together and rejoin the workforce in t minus 10 days (but who`s counting?). She's lucky she's cute but honestly if she keeps this up she's going to remain the only one of us looking cute on a consistent basis.

Shameless add of my little cutie!

This mommy is armed and ready with her list of "must-haves" but my little shop-block (you like how I adapted that other term here?) isn't allowing any of it.

I would like to know the following:

  1. Do all babies have their worst poops while out in public or is it just mine? The mall nursing/change room may never be the same.
  2. Should I be ashamed or proud of feeding mini-me mall pad thai and her inhaling it? Sidenote: I added vegetables to said pad thai in an attempt to make it healthier for the pair of us but like her momma, she enjoyed the nutrient-vacant rice noodles MUCH more (I may or may not have skipped most the veggies myself but I SWEAR I ate a piece of broccoli).
  3. Are there ghosts in change rooms? The minute I step into a change room it's like her stroller has spikes. I don't even want to know what all of the other change room patrons think of my baby talk and peek-a-boo games I do in an attempt to make her stop screaming happy.
  4. Why are baby boots/shoes all of the sudden horribly uncomfortable when at the mall? Thank you to the four wonderful people who chased me down with rogue baby boots today. It's a miracle we haven't lost any yet. I should take this opportunity to take a moment of silence for mini-sophie who was lost at Target a few weeks ago.
There are likely way more things I'd like to know but we'll leave it at that for now.

The fun part? I get to try this again on Tuesday! Wish me luck, I think I'll need it.
